Top Players Participating in Champions Cup to Head to Lahore After Final Pool Match

After the final pool match of the Champions Cup, top players will head to Lahore as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called these elite cricketers for a connection camp. The PCB has invited key players including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Shaheen Afridi, and Saim Ayub to join this important training session.

The final pool match of the Champions Cup is scheduled for September 22, with a rest day following on September 23. The playoffs will commence on September 24, but before that, the connection camp will be held in Lahore on September 23, focusing on strategic preparations for future matches.

Pakistan's white-ball cricket head coach, Gary Kirsten, will also be present at the camp, ensuring the top players are well-prepared for upcoming challenges. Red-ball cricket coach, Jason Gillespie, is set to arrive in Lahore on September 22 to join the camp.

The main purpose of this one-day connection camp is to foster discussions and deliberate on the future of Pakistan cricket, aiming to align the team’s strategies and performance with their long-term goals.

The PCB sees this as a vital step to ensure cohesion between the players and coaching staff as they prepare for future international events and tournaments.

This camp serves as a platform for fine-tuning their skills and as an opportunity to strengthen the unity and understanding among the players and coaching staff, setting a solid foundation for the team's success in upcoming tournaments.
